The Campaign Lies of RSM Mayor Carol Gamble

Introduction

As I write this October 19, 2024, Carol Gamble, who has been on the city council since the city’s founding in 2000, is running for yet another re-election, but now for District 3 since the districts went into effect. She has been under investigation by the District Attorney since late August for felony perjury regarding her nomination paperwork. This was an egregious deception on her part, as she knows how to do this correctly, and she was notified, as well as the city attorney when the complaint was filed in late August. The remedy for her was to pull her nomination and not run, but she thought she could get away with her lies yet again. Scott Markowitz in Fullerton was just arrested for this exact same crime just a few days ago.

Just yesterday Carol suddenly shut down her campaign Facebook page, either removing or hiding all of her campaign posts and endorsements. It would seem that the heat is on now and she really will be getting charged. I’m assuming her website will disappear shortly, but I saved it in the internet archive. In the process, I took a closer look at it, and between her makeover and ozempic face, and the sheer volume of lies and misleading statements, I thought I’d take a moment to memorialize her untruths.

Fact-checking the claims

I’ll put some screenshots at the bottom of her website to see the original text. I’d like to point out that Carol used the city council chambers to do a photo shoot for her campaign. Meaning, she used your taxpayer-funded building to promote herself. Against the rules? I don’t know. Unethical? What else is new.

Summary

There you have it. Virtually none of her statements are true. Everything about her is fake. She has lived here for nearly 30 years and is so out of touch with her neighbors that she couldn’t even be bothered to gather her nomination signatures herself. No one ever sees her around town other than at ribbon cuttings and city-sponsored events. She’s facing over 3 years in prison for her felony. Let’s hope she learns something by the time she gets out.
